There is plenty of reasons why we should invest in islands. First, there is only so many that are habitable. There is only so many tropical islands that actually have decent climates as well. As more and more people come to North America, there will be less and less island space for those seeking refuge.
Therefore, as the trends have shown in island realty; prices will continue to incline regardless of economy. Sure there is a slight fall in the growth, but the recent price reduction is not anywhere near an actual "Drop" or change in direction.
For those reasons, I urge all investors to seek out any island investing opportunity! We can buy islands cheap today, but in a couple of months once the finance and building industry get bailed out there will be a rush on island property and the prices will rise again.
